Question:

What is wrong with my car alarm?

Okay, I have a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta, and my car alarm seems really sensitive. I unlock my car, get in my car, and start driving. After about five minutes of driving, the blinker on the door that says the alarm is on comes on. When the blinker is on the alarm will sound when you open the door, but it shouldn‘t do this because I have NEVER seen a car to do that. Also, if I am in the car and I roll the window up or down the alarm turns on. I also noticed that SOMETIMES you can hear the constant Binging noise to tell you the door is open when the car is started and the door is closed, but it is very very faint and can barely hear it. So I think that the button that the door pushes when you close the door has a problem. I don‘t know what would cause the alarm to go off after I open my door after I mess with my windows. PLEASE HELP!!

Answer:

Thinking on this query, I dont really understood it. But I suppose my reply might be might advisor you. Alarms paintings all along with the door switches (the identical used for turning on/off the roof mild while you open the door), more often than not this transfer is placed within the vehicle body across the door duvet through a black rubber round, so whilst the door is closed it near a circuit to show off the roof mild and viceversa. The four doorways closed point out to the vehicle's pc that it's competent to be lock. If there's a poblem with one transfer and it's proven the door regularly near, which isn't the challenge, however displaying that's regularly open, them the alarm process will by no means be armed, on the grounds that it's going to regularly suppose there's one door open. Thats what I suppose is occurring in line with the know-how you're giving me. If that is like so, them the answer for that is fix the transfer electrical circuitry, that's performed through watching if there's an open, floor or fake touch challenge within the twine traces. This will have to be performed through a correct electromechanic technician. Rgds.
to me it sounds like you have a bad door switch. if you go from door to door opening and closing them to see if the interior dome light comes on with the door open, then goes out with the door shut. I have seen too many problems with car alarms though, there isn't quite enough information there to do a real diagnosis with an absolute answer for you, sorry.
your car is a piece of crap so get a new one!!!
