I‘m doing some worldbuilding for a novel: I have a country whose chief resource is iron, and was wondering what else they might have in their mountains, assuming an Earth-like geology. Can anyone help?
In addition to the above answer, and again depending on the type of deposit (BIF, IOCG, layered UM, skarn etc), here are some metals that could be found associated with iron ore: vanadium platinum rare earth elements (cerium, neodymium, ytterbium etc) copper titanium gold silver uranium cobalt vermiculite (not a metal but a valuable mineral)
