I agree with Andy. I can feel the effort you put in to trying to convey the characters feelings. The key to good writing is for that to be invisible. Try using less adjectives and delving into the characters mind a bit more. Some writing courses would help channel your writing and give structure. Don't feel dejected, you have obvious potential and taking on feedback is what makes a good book great.
Do you mean a 14000 POUND truck? It depends how much you want to do to the axle. The parts of the axle include: Left and Right full floating axle shafts Inner and outer wheel bearings for each side Brake drum assemblies Brake lines Parking brake cables and levers Axle end seals Differential carrier bearings Differential carrier case Differential carrier side gears, spider gears and cross shaft Ring gear Pinion gear Pinion oil seal Pinion crush sleeve Pinion flange Differential cover Gear oil There are probably some other extra pieces I missed.
I love the last line, it does peak my interest, I want to know what led the character to that point and what happens. It sounds great :) keep up the good work.
