I assume you mean non-intentional accidental inhaling of some dust from a fire extinguisher. In any case, it is not a good idea to inhale any foreign materials into your lungs. So, no it is not okay.
Have them check the power supply. If a limit tripped or safety then it would run the blower continuously then after it reset start the cycle over.
