Question:

what's the purpose of a solenoid valve?

what's the purpose of a solenoid valve?

Answer:

Well what can I say. people are human and make mistakes. If your mechanic is willing to fix what he messed up then I would say fine. If it's something else that went wrong other than what he worked on, then he shouldn't have to pay for that.Since you don't know much about the mechanics of your car the only way for you to find out for sure is to get a second mechanic to look at it which will cost you more.
All you have to do is remove the long bars that attach to the locking part each one has a bolt that holds it to the lock mechanism remove the bolts and then slide the bars out. Doing it this way you still have the option to replace the bars at a later time if needed.
