Gee, the red wire is the wire that connects all wired smoke detectors together, so that if one goes off, they all go off. A normal person would look for the cause of the smoke detector going off, before just disconnecting it. Who knows if your unit is segregated from the other units in the building. The freaking building might be on fire, but you are more worried about the annoying sound and children crying than to investigate the cause. If the building burns down with the children in it, that's a good way to shut them and the smoke detector up. Call someone that knows what the hell they are doing.
Make sure the Pokemon with the move you want to pass on is known by both Pokemon or at least by the father. To pass on natures, have the Pokemon with the desired ability hold an Everstone.
