Answer:

If you want some that conform to OSHA standards, check Lab Safety Supply online.
They might be trying to save your hands and you from having problems in the future. MMA gloves are not really designed for protecting your hands as well as boxing gloves from the repeated impact of hitting a heavy bag over time. The damage you do is cumulative which means you can develop bruised, tender knuckles down the road which then means you have to lay off hitting anything for a while or you can even develop things like arthritis still later as you get older. Do yourself a favor and start wrapping your hands and using boxing or bag gloves for your heavy bag workouts and it will save your hands wear and tear and help keep you from developing problems with your hands down the road. That way you will never have to temporarily stop training to let things heal or even worry about other problems that can develop that will hamper your ability to train and/or fight.
All smoke detectors have 9 volt batteries, hardwired or not. If you don't see the battery inside the cover, look for a compartment on the sides of it.
Science goggle is not hard to find, you can even find it in some hardware stores only you have to choose a goggles which conforms necessary safety rules. But it is better to use a chemical goggles in a sciencie lab which has an anti-fog coating for clearer lens. Soft rubber frame conforms to face wth Indirect venting for increased airflow and meets ANSI Z87.1+
