Hi, I'm a kindergarten teacher, and my class is trying to make plaster hand printsI'm having a hard time finding a mold to useI was trying to use a 8'' round cake pan, because a) it's a good size for their hands, b) the depth is good, and c) round is a good shape for themHowever, the plaster won't come outDoes anyone have any suggestions for a different type of mold or how to get the plaster out more easily?

You might look at the new silicon baking pans (blue plastic around here) which are flexible (somewhat) and non-slip With metal pans, spray cooking fat, turning the pan over and pushing in the center are usefulIf you don't care about other uses (holding water, baking) a small hole punched in the middle of the bottom with an awl or knife point will let air in as the plaster moves I often use light or heavy weight aluminum foil fitted in shapes to make a pan that stays with the plaster - it usually tears even with spraying when taken off.
