Question:

What size copper pipes should a typical 2 bathroom home use?

I‘m replacing my galvanized water pipes with copper. I can do all the work but need a bit of help with the design. There‘s going to be about 25 feet of pipe before the water splits off to the water heater which is in the basement directly under the first floor bathroom and kitchen. from the water heater it will be about 20 feet of pipe to get to the second floor bathroom. What would typical pipe sizes be for a setup like this? Please don‘t respond to tell me to call a plumber or suggest I use PEX or that I‘m going to collapse my house on top of myself or what your dog just threw up.
