You need your whole brake system to be checked out calipers discs rotors master brake cylinder fluid . and would be ergent about this one.
it does sound like your brake booster is bad but get a garage to check the one way valve in line to booster and make sure it is working and that you have vacuum that is required
Brake booster sounds more like the problem.
Copper is NOT considered a barrel material. It is too loose on all kinds of darts and foam. Instead, buy 1/2 CPVC, 9/16 Brass or 17/32brass. They fit stock darts and 1/2 foam backer rod, the most common foam used for Nerf.
