Question:

What suspension and engine should I use?

I am building a 1932 Chevy Sedan from the ground up. The goal is to build a reliable, fuel efficient rod that still has decent power. I won‘t be drag racing so I don‘t need a high powered race engine.I would love to get 30 mpg, or close to it.I plan on adding all the creature comforts AC, cruise, remote start, etc. The body is steel and most of the interior is wood. So there is a lot of weight. I want a smooth ride so I need a decent suspension system. I will need a good transmission to couple to it, Along with a rear end. I don‘t know if I can find the works all in one car, maybe a Cadillac. I don‘t know if Cadillac even makes a rear wheel drive anymore. What does someone more experienced think?

Answer:

That's not completely correct
I rebuilt an LT-1 out of a wrecked '94 Z-28 and had the trans gone through. Car turns 1450 RPM at 60 MPH and gets 27 MPG. Very reliable attractive.
