My parents and I own a sun conure parrot named Emma. When were got her, she was a sweet baby. But now, almost a year later, she has become evil! All she does is scream and bite. Those that know conures know that when they are vocal, they are unbearably loud! And, she bites everyone that comes near her. She has also become very attached to my dad. When I come home from college, she literally attacks me if I go near him. All of a sudden, its like she dispises me! We used to be close and she would always cuddle with me. But now, if I am home, she flies at my face and rips it up! But, I am not the only person she bites, she bites my mom and even my dad too. But, she deff. seems to dislike me the most. We try to keep her in her cage because of the attacks, but the constant screaming is unbearable!!! What would you do? How do you make a conure stop screaming and biting? Is it normal for conures to have a favorite person?
no don't make her wear them. Its embarrasing for her (even if no one else knows about it) and its not so great for her self confidence and thats not something you want to mess with at her age as I'm sure its already encroaching on her self esteem. I think a trip back to the doctor to discuss proper option is in order. As far as I know, any child still bed wetting regularly past age 7 should be seen by a doctor. Bed wetting alarms are great I've been told, if you haven't already tried them. In the meantime, I know its not ideal, but just wash the sheets everyday. Buy some waterproof doona and pillow covers so that the wee isn't going on those as well good luck
