It depends on what you want to use this laptop for and what you consider an 'ideal laptop' to be. In a perfect world, what would your dream laptop to be like? what are top 2 or 3 features you absolutely must have eg. size/weight, screen resolution, battery life, elegant design, fast CPU etc. Then go from there. The way I chose my lap top was starting from the battery. I wanted a laptop with the longest battery. I found the battery, then I bought its counterpart (laptop). Everything else didn't matter to me.
it depends, if you will use it for gaming or just surfing the net. most apple laptop specs are superb but the price is also superb ) there are a lot of laptop brands that good and will last like Asus, Lenovo(IBM),HP etc. and best bang for the buck. i think apple have twice the price that the counterpart(in specs) in other brands. good luck )
