I have a Camaro SS 2001 and the headlights and interior lights like dim and flash, I think it is because of my head unit taking up the power from the battery or something. Is there anyway to fix this?
A capacitor is a bandaid for an inadequate charging system. First taek your car to autone, pep boys, advance auto. Something of the sort and have them test your alternator and battery. They will perform this service for free, hoping that if something is wrong, you will buy the product from them. If one of those is bad, replace it and see if the dimming continues. If it does, try a 2nd battery. in the trunk. Deep cycle sealed batteries are best and often cost less than a capacitor
If you have no contract he should have told you when he gave you his price for the job. If it was not spoken of before he was given the job then no it is not his. Also check with the town or city council, it could be part of his permit to do the job that he remove the old pipe for disposal.
You could try using a capacitor. Or tighten your belts. Or get a bigger alternator 85 watts or better.
A CAPACITOR is a bit similar to your car battery; it stores electrical energy. A car audio capacitor will help you get the most from your amplifier. It will store power for release on demand, delivering it to your amplifier just when it's needed.Your car amplifier requires a lot of power to play loud music, especially when there's lots of heavy bass. Without a capacitor your amplifier will be robbed of power by parts like your lights, engine, and air conditioner. Or vice-versa. So what happens when your car audio amplifier doesn't receive enough power? A common occurrence is dimming lights. In such a situation the light will follow the beat of the music. The light will dim each time a heavy bass note sounds. If you were to turn off the lights, your car stereo system would suddenly sound louder and the music would be cleaner.
Unless he mentioned that as part of his price when he took the job, it should be yours. But, you may have a fight on your hands to keep it now. I think I might talk to a lawyer if you really want it that bad, depends on how much there is, I guess, first visit to lawyer is usually free. Oh, and I wouldn't let him raise his price now if he doesn't keep the copper, that's just not right. Good luck.
