Bosnia and Herzegovina is small, but beautiful country. It has pyramids (that are so amazing if you visit, and see them), Sarajevo the bigest and most beautiful city....Sarajevo film festival that is really popular here (I invite you all at SFF, it begins in august). Traditionals food like cevapi or pljeskavica (mmmm that`s so good). Beautiful mountains, and picnic grounds. At the end, Bosnia and Herzegovina have great people, funny and nice people, so what you think, or have you ever been here?
I've heard of this self-proclaimed excavator in Bosnia. The pyramids could be 12,000 years old, this person claims, based on geological knowledge of the area. That is exactly the main point of contention for specialists concerned with the archeology in the Balkan region. Europe was in the late Upper Paleolithic at this point and no one was building anything except flimsy huts, according to scientists. As for Bosnia, yes, I know it used to be a beautiful country, But I haven't been there recently. I know people are generally hospitable and warm, just like you, but not everybody understands that :)
I really like BiH altogether, Sarajevo particularly, and find the people really nice and funny. Still, I dont believe that Bosnia really has pyramids. I think its good that theres finally for something else, not the war, that Bosnia fnally got to the media.
I am originally from there, it is a nice place to go visit and it is really cheap compared to other countries because of the war that happened and now the economy is low. The best thing to do is go sight seeing, you will meet all kinds of interesting people, and I MEAN interesting, I'm from there and i get surprised every now and then. The food is great and healthy, all of it is completely organic, and grown from surrounding farms. If you ever happen to go to Europe, go visit Bosnia, it's unique and fun. And don't forget the neighboring country of Croatia, wow. Hope this helps!
my boyfriend is Bosnian and when he talks to his family from back home they talk about the pyramids that were discovered. If you research they have found and discovered evidence of life in that area years ago. The country is so rich with history. Can't wait to go over there. I have seen pictures and heard great stories now I can't wait to see for myself. To Ivan-you should give Bosnia a try, I am sure Croatia is a beautiful country as well. That entire area is probably gorgeous.
Well every place has something that attracts people.I was born is Sarajevo(Stari Grad) and it is true but you really fall in love with the city. Everyone is very nice and there is so much you can do. From the museums to the skiing on the olympic mountains :). I think why its so special its because people never change in Bosnia, even after the war you could still feem most comfortable in Bosnia then other ex Yugo countries no matter who you are :) Oh yeah and the food is great. Especially old part of the city :)
