Question:

Whats it the best type of Air Intake System for my car?

I have a 2004 BMW 325Ci. I was thinking I getting a KN FIPK, would that be good or do you have another suggestion?

Answer:

okay- listen- the strip operates when it is MAGNETIZED! not the other way around- they use the magnet to re-activate it.when you put the tag over the Machine- its a DE-Magnetizer. Its cant resonate unless the strips are magnetized
For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/axO5J GET A RUBBER BAND AND WRAP IT AROUND THE LITTLE METAL PART AND JUST TWIRL IT UNTIL THE RUBBER BAND BUNCHES UP,AND EVENTUALLY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PULL THE SECURITY TAG OFF
Terrible idea. The factory equipped cold air intake is tuned for maximum hp at the widest range of driving.
The horsepower and mileage statistics that KN use are usually BS; you're not going to see a real performance increase with an FIPK. It is, however, probably in your interest to check out a replacement from KN for your stock filter. They're reusable and over time they will save you a little bit of money.
Factory cold air intake on stock cars. Modified cars? Depends on the setup.but mainly an increased diameter cold air intake (brand doesn't really matter) or ram air both will do about the same. Cold air pulls from the wheel well, while ram air pulls from external air (usually hood or bumper). For roots supercharged vehicles ram air tends to be better because it increases air inflow and the air temperature is somewhat cooler so it helps cool the manifold (in theory); but ram air setups also increase drag to some degree. But you should keep it factory if your car is naturally aspirated. If you do ANYTHING you might want to replace the upper intake pipe with stainless piping as long as the maf is bolted into the airbox itself (or it's cover) but don't do an airbox mod or anything similar. Move the maf and you're going to have a problem.
