Question:

Whats the best 22" LCD monitor for under $350?

I'm building a computer and the last thing I have to decide on is the monitor, there's so many to choose from and a lot of conflicting information on many so I figured I'd ask people what they would choose as the best 22 LCD monitor for under $350.

Answer:

Gateway FHD2200 is a relly really good monitor. It has a glossy screen. Usually sells for $380 but if you can find it somewhere for $360ish BUY IT!! I know its more than $350 (sorry) but its worth it. If this is not for you make your seccond choice a Samsung. Edit: I looked on Gateway's website and this is a $350 monitor

Why 22? 24 Soyo is $350 and absolutely great if you don't need multiple inputs.

I don't know if it is under $350 yet. When I bought mine it was a few dollars over $500 but that was a year ago and it was just out on the market. I have a Samsung, SyncMaster 226BW. I LIKE it a bunch. It allows me to have two copies of MS Word open at once with two documents active and I can cut and paste back and forth. The documents are large enough for my old eyes to easily read both documents. Did I say I LIKE it. Check out Best Buys in your area, they have them set up so you can actually use them and get a feel for which you might like best. I have noted one odd thing that happens on my monitor. Not sure if it computer, monitor or video card but it does something strange that you might like to know about. I do some JigSaw puzzles on line, usually one a day. I have noted that I get a darkening of the colors when I take a piece of the puzzle and move it from the bottom of the screen to the top. Some colors are more prone to it than others and it is not BAD at its worst. It is just something I have noted and felt you should know about it. Good luck and Good hunting
