Question:

whats wrong with my car alarm?

I have a 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee, before anyone says to take it to a dealer, I'd like to have some sort of idea what's going on before they charge me an arm and a leg just to look at it. I am not made out of money. Anywho, I had this issue a few months ago where my remote wouldn't unlock the door, so I'd have to use the key and then the alarm would go off. I figured the batteries needed replacing so I did that, still did it though. So I stopped using the remote, just used the key. Everything was going great until yesterday. I use the key to unlock my car at 5am and the alarm goes off. I probably woke everyone and their mother up, plus it makes me look like I'm breaking into my own car! It's really embarassing! So I go to work, when I leave work it did it again. I'll be leaving for work in a little while and unfortunately anticipate it doing it again. What could be the problem and does anyone have any sort of estimate in price for getting it fixed or getting the alarm system taken out?

Answer:

You cannot use a stove (kitchen type) for heating. If is not vented. Personally, I would call the gas company and have them come out and check it for gas leaks. Usually they will do that for free if you think you smell gas.
Usually there is a small arrow imprinted on the face. Press the face plate in on that arrow while pulling it away from the ceiling. it should flip down/open.
