someone sent me a wii message and the blue light came on. so i go back to the wii menu and they blue light starts flickering really wierd and the screen turns black. it wouldnt turn of so i unplugged it. and when i turn it back on i have to do the wii settings like when i first got the system and all my wii contacts were gone and it gave me a new wii number. and it said you have a new heat-in system. WTF!?
It could be updates, some games auto-update the wii system, and that sometimes causes temporary problems. If the blue light flickers and the screen goes black, it might just be the video cables in the back, make sure they are plugged in right. If it says something about a heat system, it probably just overheated, that happens when you leave it on for a long time, you should get a cooling system to prevent that. You can get cooling systems at most of the places that sell wii accessories.
this happened to me before. it is either from your tv screen, electricity, or that you have played the wii too much so it over heat and most of the time it is because of overheating
Maybe the Wii lost connection to the internet or lost power right when it was downloading the message, causing you to loose all of your data. Maybe if you contact Nintendo customer support and give them your serial number and old Friend Code, they will be able to help you.
