Question:

when check engine light comes on, is it usually a sensor problem?

my 2000 chevy suburban starts, then stalls.if when i get da car started it lacks power then stalls out.any help wud be appreciated, thanx!

Answer:

Does the check engine light go out after the engine starts? If so ,it could be a plugged fuel filter located on the drivers side frame.Their could be multiple things that would cause this and it is best to get a test done for code problems. A friend of mine had the same problem and the fuel line just above the fuel pump had burst and would not hold fuel pressure and the engine would die.Best of luck to you.
It's a malfunction on the Engine Emission System just plug in the computer, free at some auto part, and get where the problem is. Could be problem for the stalls or not the main task for Check Engine Light it's Emission
The check engine light will show a problem with emissions.
