a lot of metal is actually christian death metal. the biggest name that comes to mind is killswitch engage, they are christian metal. but yes some is and some isnt.
People judge on the vocals... when they hear something that seems grungy or dark they automatically assume the artist is singing about something so immortality dark or satanic. People these days are too quick to judge..maybe if they listened to the lyrics every once in a while theyll see it aint all about pentagrams and shiit.

The typical death metal fan is a high-school dropout with anger management issues, an addiction to meth, and really lousy taste in music. Those guys can have that crap, I'll stick with bands like System Of A Down and Metallica, bands that actually have talent. And Christian death metal? That's a contradiction in terms. Christianity is all about celebrating one's spiritual rebirth and eternal salvation, therefore anything with the word death in it really has no place in Christian doctrine.
