Question:

When using paper mache, what's a good substitute for newspaper? Notebook paper?

I'm making a pi?ata with a cardboard box for the formI don't have enough newspaper to cover the boxWhat could I use instead? Computer paper? Notebook paper? Paper towels?

Answer:

soft polyester will be absolutely fine! I use would shavings and hay which are much more rough and less soft than soft polyester and my guineapigs are fine:) go for it!
You Can But If I Was You I Would Use Fleece
Paper towels will work better than computer or notebook paperBut they will also be more likely to get too wet and softComputer and notebook paper won't absorb the liquid wellMy suggestion would be to ask your neighbors for some newspapers, as they really do work best.
in stead of using ceder chips or other bedding's I use shredded paper because my guinea pig died from chewing on the different beddings that we had .And we found that paper did no harm to our guinea pigs
