Rugged. You wont get dirt in your clothes. Where can i buy this?
I've been a plumber by trade since 1972 and I have run across PVC pipe that was not made correctly. Had to really force the fittings on. Is that what you are going through. Chances are it's the pipe. The fittings you bought should be ok. Before you throw the pipe away, buy pipe from a different supply house and see how it goes. Let us know. . . .
If hardwood is sealed properly, a damp mop or cloth is all that is needed other than vacuuming. There are triangular shaped rubber pieces available that you stick to the underside of each corner of the carpet. It prevents slippage.
2 separate answers depending on your response. If you want to do this safely, the answer would be no. PVC pipe is not rated for any air usage. Sorry kids, but the manufacturer info states specifically air or gas of any type is not to be used in nor is air or gas of any type an approved material for PVC pipe to handle. PVC get very brittle when cold and then bad things happen. Now for reality, 50 PSI is not that much pressure. You could have eye damage but probably not kill anyone using it and the pipe splits open. Good joints with priming and then a medium strength glue would be just fine. Good luck with your gun.
Did you happen to buy 3/4 pvc then buy 3/4 cpvc fittings? 3/4 cpvc is the same size as copper pipe, which is smaller then regular pvc which is iron pipe size. Make sure you use cleaner that is what softens the rosin ( a chemical in the pipe) to allow the glue to bound properly. Schedule 40 and 80 pipes are the same outer diameter it's the inner diameter that changes.
Without being condescending.the pipe could be from a different manufacturer than the fittings. Try a little 100(or similar) grit sandpaper and ring it around the pipe ends till they fit onto the fittings. Then you're good to go.
