Question:

Where can I buy a triple axle boat trailer?

Looking for a galvanized triple axle boat trailer for a single hull 31 foot boat. We live in Connecticut. New or used doesn‘t matter not over $5,000.

Answer:

Trailers that size are generally custom made - the likely load far exceeds normal trailed weights. I respectfully suggest just the materials to make a legal trailer of that size won't be much less than your budget based on the few I have helped build that size and larger.
After having my 2012 Nissan start seeming a little sluggish and not running real smooth, I ask the man at the part house what to use and he told me Lucas fuel additive for diesel and gas engine. It come in a little bottle for one tank of gas (treats up to 18 gal.) that you can buy a little cheaper at Walmart. I didn t notice too much that time, but I used another bottle 2 fill-ups later and did hat time. The car seemed to have more pep and was running smoothly. It has about 55,000 miles and you hardly feel the engine running. I put in my first bottle in 2014 summer, and add a small bottle about every 3rd or 4th fill up now. It s not that expensive and the car is doing great.
Use gas stations that label their gas, Top-Tier. Top-Tier fuels have the best and most detergents available in today's gasoline. Use Top-Tier fuels on a regular basis and you will not need to purchase gas additives.
just because a trailer is meant for a single hull 31' boat does not mean that the boat it was made for fits your hull design properly to provide proper support in the proper places. support in the wrong places equals cracks or holes in the hull. possibly unnoticed until water begins pouring in. just raw materials on that size trailer will certainly be $4,000 plus range. ez loader is a big name in boat trailer construction. i would try to find somebody in that company to talk to. chances are good they made trailers for that year and model when it was new and know the exact dimesions needed for everythign to give proper support. also, as mentioned, any well built trailer that size will have electric brakes on it. you will need a controller to operate them. and i hope your vehicle is full 1 ton truck. perferably dually or 4 wheel drive for added traction on wet ramps.
For a 31' boat you want to Cheap out on the most important part of your boat? You're taking an awfully big chance on a used trailer which really needs to be fitted to the hull of the boat. Trailers are NOT universal to boat hulls. Each trailer is fitted for the proper spacing and angles of the hull. Having a bunker in the wrong place can cause minute fractures to the hull. These fractures lead to leaking hulls or worse, a hull imploding while under stress. A new properly fitted trailer will be in the range of $8k-$10k and be fitted to the hull and have a warranty. Plus with ALL triple axle trailers, they will have electric brakes install as standard due to the carry weight. Make sure that your truck has the right electrical controls for that setup. Try the company below. I have used their trailers for years and currently have one under my 26' Express Cruiser.
