I want to make my own mirror to put along the dresser where I change my baby. (I'm crafty!) Where can I buy the baby/child-safe mirror material??
Could it be the battery? Mine always beeps when the battery starts to go.
Sometimes little insects skip across the sensor causing the alarm to go off. Also hot days have been known to set of our alarm on hot days.
You usually use soft copper pipe for flare fittings. But if you got the ridged copper pipe to flare without splitting, it should work OK. You can anneal hard copper by heating it up to red color then putting quickly it into water. It will flare easily then.

If they are 14 years old then they are out dated by about 10 years. Replace them and your problem should be solved. Some smoke detectors have heat sensors in them, and some will react to high humidity. Just replace then there life span is over.
