I am planning my garden for this spring and I was wondering if anyone out there in the southern Maine area could help me track down a place where I can get the 4 cubit foot bags of vermiculite, and how much they cost? Also I need some good compost as well....any ideas?
My research says vermiculite is not toxic. Nonetheless, call your doctor.
Vermiculite may contain asbestos, so yes it is bad for an infant to eat it!
I would call poison control or the hospital. Breathing it in is a problem, but I think it just goes through the digestive tract if eaten.
