My mother has had the same giant safety pin for her keys for 30 years. Her keys went missing not because she misplaced them, well there's sort of a conspiracy going on at the moment. It's very sad, someone she loved dearly gave it to her and that person is no longer with us.With Christmas coming up I'd like to get her a replacement. I can't seem to find one online. Someone I asked said something about a kilt pin. Someone else said something about a horse-blanket pin. I've looked for those things but I can't find anything like that. My mom's pin wasn't sharp it was more like a squeezing latch that was good for holding keys. I wouldn't want her carrying something sharp around with her.Anyone know of a pin like that?
With adequate ventilation. chickens have a very touchy respiratory system. I would look into converting your waste oil heater into a radiant system. by containing your oil furnace in a separate facility and use a piping system with like a coolant to radiate adequate heat. this will eliminate the hazards of carbon monoxide. I have installed detectors both smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in my coop and keep adequate ventilation because of the extreme output of ammonia from the feces..
But I'm old school so the new technology has evolved beyond my basic understanding
