i recently bred my bearded dragons and need vermiculite to put the eggs in.
A lot of attics have vermiculite insulation, since it was popular in the 60's. But be careful with that stuff, because SOME of it contains asbestos. My boyfriend's house has vermiculite insulation under the blown-in fiberglass, and his dad had it tested to make sure it didn't contain asbestos. It doesn't, which is good.
Just consider trying something else if possible for the eggs, as Vermiculite is EXPENSIVE.
It can be found in any nursery along with the small bags of fertilizer or try K-Mart, Walmart although they might have there garden stuff put away.
Most garden centers should have some vermiculite. I've bought it at different ones. Comes in small bags or very large bags.
