Question:

where do i stand, employment. law uk?

Cut a very long story short.Went for a full time job,and was verbally told i had the job.It was explained to me that i start in around six weeks when the employee that i was replacing was leaving.Safetied out my details again, along with bank details, was given safety clothing, and measured up for other items. He said they would be in touch in 14 days 14 days went,no contact,so i contacted them and was told they would know more in 7 days. They contacted me and said the employee that was leaving had changed his mind and is now not going. However they have said they were going to create a position which should become full time, but will be part time and significantly lower wage and rate, this is also become a very unstable position.IS THIS RIGHT ???I am in united kingdom..

Forget traveller's cheques. These days you simply use your everyday bank card at ATMs the world over. You get the current exchange rate, and don't have to haggle. It saves a lot of bother. Tip 1 - Dress light. Tip 2 - Never give money. Never. Give something to the cute kid with a limp and you'll be surrounded by others. Tip 3 - See the light show in the Valley of the Kings. Don't let anyone tell you it's too touristy. You're a tourist and it's freaking awesome.
