Question:

Where is the best place to install a metan gas detector in a kitchen?

I have bought a metan gas detector, which works whith 220 V AC.At home we use natural gas for cooking in our kitchen and heating also. The heating device is connected to a camin.I have heard, that it should be installed at a high level, but i am not shure, because tube gas can flow at ground level, natural gas can rise to the top of a room.Any suggest are welcome

Answer:

The room will instantly fill with smoke, and the detector will stop working. It's only the smoke that makes it work. We used to have an old TV, and once, it got hot, and all the smoke came out of the back, and that stopped working.
Graphite is what is used to lubricate locks. It comes in a small tube the size of chap stick and can be purchased in any hardware store usually where ever they keep key accessories. It is a powder so you shake up the tube and squeeze some in to the key hole. This helps the key slide in and out really easily and lets all the parts move more smoothly. If that doesn't help you may want to bring the locks to a locksmith. The nut that holds the cylinder together may be too tight and needs to be loosened. I re-key locks all the time so I always have to adjust the nut if the key is hard to turn. Good luck!
The americium is contained under a baffled metal cover (so smoke can get in, but radioactivity is trapped within the shield. The quantity is extremely tiny and should be no hazard as long as you don't dismantle the unit. Certainly, the likelyhood of injury from the americium is far less than the likelyhood of injury from a fire!
i would sooner have a smoke alarm
