Question:

Where should I mount 2 brand new tires?

Replace rear tires. Front tires have 80% thread left. So do the new tires go up front or rear?My car is RWD.

Answer:

On the drive wheels, in your case the rear. The reason being it is thought that if you lose a front tire, you can steer yourself out of trouble.
In your case it doesn't matter because your other 2 tires have good tread. When you get the 2 new tires you can get the other ones rotated to the rear or when you get the 2 new ones you can just have them put on in the rear. If the other 2 had low tread to average tread you would be forced to put the new ones in the rear but since the tread is good I don't see any tire shop or mechanic giving you trouble. Just so you know the rule that most tire places and mechanics use is that when you get 2 new tires they have to go in the rear for safety (most of the places post a big sign) but if you find a small, non-chain tire place they usually don't care and they do what you tell them.
It is and has been the policy of EVERY tire manufacturer in the world as well as every tire industry trade group and major retailer for years that when replacing only 2 tires new the new pair must be installed on the rear axle. Go to any of the big tire manufacturers web sites and you will find this. The Michelin site even has a 3 minute video explaining why.
