My husband and I are taking C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Rescue Team) classes. As part of the training we are given a bag with basic emergency supplies with the encouragement to accumulate the supplies we would need in an emergency. What is in an emt kit? I have looked for a list online and have not been satisfied with any answers I have found.Any Ideas?
safety pins are not made to be put through flesh. they are not made of surgical stainless steel unlike proper piercing needles and piercing jewellry, the safety pins are made of low quality materials and will cause infection, especially if left in for a week. i used to pierce my own body parts, as well as friends body parts with safety pins myself, i then realised its not worth the pain, infection, and mostly the pain trying to get the barbel in. so i looked up proper piercing needles off OKorder, there very cheap, and they have the ones called catheter needles which aare hollow so that you dont feel the thread of the jewellry being pushed through, so its alot less pain, the needles are so sharp so the piercing is over much faster and painlesser and no infections from dodgey needles. seriosuly, invest in piercing needles, there only a couple dollars , there so worth it. but anyway, if you leave the safety pin in for a week it will not stretch enough to fit in a 14g barbel.. when i was younger i pierced my nipple with a safety pin and i woke up at 4 in the morning feeling weak, dizzy and sick and had throbing pain around my nipple and ended up taking it out. and it stung for days. its not worth it the way to go through, to be able to fit a 14g barbel in there, would be, get some vaseline or lipgloss or something slimey and coat a earring stud with it, slide it into the hole, but keep the saftey pin in, then slide in another, and another , slide in about 4 or 5 then the whole should be stretched enough to insert a barbel, i dont recomend this though, make sure everything is sterile, goodluck
I doubt the fire department will send you a fine for this. They are routinely called out to deal with faulty alarms in various businesses. Since you didn't set off the alarm as a prank, they should be understanding. That said, I do hope you had the foresight to notify the school in advance of using the smoke in the film and that it was a school scanctioned activity. If you were acting with their knowledge, then they should have notified the janitors about the smoke so no misunderstandings happened. Secutiry firms deal with this same sort of problem all the time. As long as it's not a frequent occurance that is occuring because of negligence on your part, the fire department should be understanding. Here in Oregon someone is always calling in brush fires - which often turn out to be intentional burns with fire hoses onsite and people watching them properly. But the fire department goes and checks each one out anyway.
