in general steel material is used as core in electromagnets.but it is attracted by magnet.i want to know is there any material(non magnetic material)which can be used as a core,at the same time it can give same electromagnetic strenght as that of steel as a core.
i thought they used steel or iron cores because they have a high magnetic permeability(low resistance to magnetism), not for structural strength.
No, there is no such thing. By definition, a high permeability material (such as iron or steel) will be attracted by a magnet.
