I like the chargers, They have a beast of a tight-end and receivers, HAD a legend at the RB but regretfully let him go. And our defense is consistently ranked in the top 5 in the nation. But I hate Philip Shivers. Sorry, I can't stand the guy, has a mouth that runs and doesn't stop, and when the blitz comes he becomes a puss and panics. If we would have got Tim Tebow, it would have been that much better. But anyways the chargers would smoke the Texans

It is true that the Chargers are better (overall) than the Texans. But it is false that he has no one to throw to. Have you forgotten about Antonio Gates? What about Vincent Jackson? Malcolm Floyd also played well when he stepped in. The Chargers are better than the Texans because they have a better system that works. Although neither team has solidified themselves as an elite team in the NFL, the Chargers have one thing that the Texans do not, playoff experience. The Chargers have made the playoffs over the last few years because the players are better than that of the Texans and the system both offensively and defensively seems to work well. Norv might not be a grade A coach but he has given them chances to win. They just lack discipline in the regular season in the beginning, and they fail to win in the playoffs. So your reasoning isn't valid in that sense. You are correct that the Chargers are better in comparison, but not for the reason you give.
