Which is a better quality installation, cinch or crimp? Also is brass better that plastic when it comes to fittings and why do you think so? If I install Pex in an unheated space should I insulate it with conventional foam pipe insulation such as that used on copper or will the pex be okay without the insulationgt; Location: Pacific Northwest, USA.

Go to a professional piercer. This probably was not the best way to pierce.. I've had mine done now for 10 years, and it took a really long time to heal. Make sure to wear only sterling silver for a real long time as to avoid infection Belly button piercings are great but infected ones are just gross best of luck on this one
It depends on the girl wearing the belly button ring. Belly button rings don't look good on every girl.
That was a bad option, what you did was highly stupid of you. A needle especially a safety pin is not even close to the width of an actual navel piercing. Besides you need an actual stainless steel jewelry 14guage thats been issued from an acutal piercing/tattoo shop so it can heal. What have you done to yourself, what you did was get yourself into a painful situation that is only going to be worse, by first getting infected, than its going to swell and be very tender and sensitive in that area. Take the crap out, wash it with anti-bacterial soap and water and let it heal. You were better off getting it done by a professional smart one, not doing it yourself with unsanitary objects, you caused yourself more pain than the actual piercing it self if done by a professional. Kids these days!
Take the safety pin out and let the hole close. What you did was completely wrong. Self piercing is a horrible idea, let alone with a safety pin. You are nominating yourself for an infection, plus rejection is common in navel piercings. Rejection is when it is easier for your body to push the piercing out rather than heal a fistula (skin tunnel) around it. I suggest getting parental permission, because i'm guessing you are underage not knowledgeable enough to know your risks. Self piercing should never be the answer under any circumstances, or going behind your parent's backs. But if you just HAVE to self pierce, because you are going to die without it, you need proper sterile equipment and jewelry. A gauge hollow needle of your choice (14g is common in navel piercings, a piece of proper jewelry for the piercing, and clamps (optional.) Setup a sterile environment, wash the counter, your hands, use gloves, ect. Push the needle through the navel, put the tail of your jewelry into the end of the hollow needle, then slide it through. And if for some reason in your right mind you are deciding to keep the hole you made with the safety pin, you have to gauge the whole to make it big enough to fit the actual navel jewelry, and i'm guessing already you don't have the proper equipment for stretching either. No more ideas, i'm done.
