True or False: R-11 batt insulation has a better R-value and insulates better than R-11 rolled insulation?
chevys have minimal coolant in the intake, just one passage accross all my 350's on my vettes have blown head gaskets on two adjoining cylinders, pull the plugs and spin it over and see if any coolant comes flying out, or if you have seperate dual exhaust one side will fog, or smoke and the other wont, yes it can leak but its unlikely and by the way you have to pull the intake to get to the heads, you didnt mention if it missing or runing rough, ? if its two cyliders gone, it will misfire and run bad, if its the intake manifild it will just suck the water down through the cam area into the oil pan, anyway if you pull the intake you should see the water trail from the front of the intake where it leaked, other wise its pull the head thats bad, the other possibilty is a cracked head from over heating, or a cracked block, long story short you need a top end gasket set look to see if the gasket failed, it will be obvious most of the time and one cylinder will have coolant in it,

I had put together a 5.3l vortec motorI used LS6 heads and intake manifoldThen got a new LS6 spec'd cam from lunatiIt made 376hp at the flywheel which is a good bit more than the 310 it made originallyPlus if i were to use a hotter cam the heads and intake manifold would be fine for an upgrade
