We've added two more rooms to our house and the main walls are standing, you can see the bricks itselfAnd I'd like to give it a sound insulation material, because I'm a drummer and I'd like to drum in my room :)Do You know any suggestions, what kind of material would be the best to choose?.and also, it shouldn't be too expensive! Maybe around $1000 for the whole room, or for the critical places(the room is 22 square meters big)
If you are paying for it out of your own money there's nothing wrong with it.
If you have a lot of money, the moral thing to do is to donate as much as you can to those who are less fortunate (NOT those who are just too lazy to work) and other causes that are important But of course, there's nothing wrong with living comfortably yourself-a nice house, a reliable car, and trying to provide your kids with the best education possible should be sufficient If you WERE to live the super-rich lifestyle you describe in your question, you'd find that after all that spending and globe trotting, you'd still be unhappySo, live comfortably, give generously, and be happy.
There are children starving in Africa, but if you send more money you know what - they will STILL be starvingI know this may sound heartless but that money sent usually ends up in the hands of Warlords and doesn't help the kids at allSo no I see nothing morally wrong with treating yourself to some nice things as well.
Not at allIn order to become rich, you did something economically productiveAn invention, serving an underserved market, allocating capital more efficiently than others.somethingThe exception being the lottery and similar thingsBecause you did whatever that was, it's your money and you are morally and ethically free to do whatever the heck you want with itNow, it would be EXTRA nice of you to use at least some of that money to support a charitable cause like scholarships for inner city kids to attend real schools (my favorite charity)It would also be both smart AND nice of you to use some of that money in investmentsThis would create more economic goods for others to enjoy AND increase the amount of money at your disposal for both more luxury and more charity and more investment But if you do none of those things and just blow it all on fun for you, knock yourself out!
Lowes carries a Styrofoam insulating 4x8 sheet that runs about 8bucks eachNOT sound proof but it will helpA step up from that, Ductboard from your local A?C supply house runs about 50 a sheet, they are fiberglass faced with foil- foil would go towards the wallA step up from that, acoustic panels are about 200+ eachI once knew a drummer that covered his entire basement ceiling with Egg crate material from the commercial cases of eggsThey are pressed fiber about 14x14 squareHe actually had 2 layers deep on his ceiling and the acoustics were awesomeIf you know someone that works in a Hotel or Large restaurant, you might be able to get enoughWhen painted, they look pretty cool too!
