Question:

Who controls the extent of violence shown on basic cable television?

I know the FCC controls the profanity and nudity, but are the networks themselves responsible for what is shown as far as violence goes?

Answer:

Cable has no limits but they generally dont get too violent. They also dont control profanity and nudity, the FCC only controls broadcast networks. That's why you can watch uncensored movies late at night on some cable channels.
