Who Invented Electrical Wires
The principles of electric charge and conductivity have been observed for millennia but the first person recorded to really transmit generated electricity over a short conductor was Alessandro Volta in his studies of potential difference. The modern copper wire was most likely originally designed by some copper producer for use with emerging electrical systems in the early days of electricity. As for insulation, the company that produced the most insulated wire in the early days was Belden. Belden still exists and is considered a leader in its industry.
