Answer:

no need to spend a ton of money at BPS. get one of the combos they offer that includes a curado reel. l think the rod they set up with the C is a bionic blade. not a particularly costly rod but it serves admirably. l have had my B blade for a few years now - and l added the curado to it myself - l didn't purchase it as a combo. a 7 footer rated for 10 to either 17 or 20 - l disremember. l'm using 10 on it with plastics and mid sized topwaters like the super spook jr. l think the full size spook is just a bit heavy. works great with a P60 pop-r or plastics with up to 3/8 oz lead. OR the ardent XS1000. a great reel and made HERE in the U.S. again, l use 10lb mono on mine but it will handle a good braid, fine. same rod. the combo will work fine for any bass species, walleye, pike, striper (l know, it's a true bass which the LM bass is not), light SW use as long as you keep it immaculately clean and lubed. about anything. carp and cats if you like. once you buy it, it's yours. don't let anyone say you can't use it for whatever you please. if you want to use it as a door stop, that's fine too, but a waste. and try the sufix clear line.
OD stands for optical density and it is a measure of the ability of laser safety glasses or goggles to block light at a certain wavelength. An OD of 3 or more is adequate for protection from lasers with powers of up to 2 watts.
