The Girlfriend of my son is 3rd year student in UP Los Banos , Calamba . Los Banos is a one hour and half drive from Makati(central financial district of Metro Manila) Its a very peaceful place to live in and have everything you need such as commercial malls , a very good environment since it has the provincial feel to it but very modern and dynamic too.Its a vacation place as well for Urban families for there are a lot of hot spring resorts , public and private . Its quite peaceful compared to Metro Manila , we have not heard of gruesome incidents in that place and safety is high priority for lots of colleges and businesses populate the place . Living conditions is quite cheaper compared to Makati or Metro Manila , a budget of USD 75.00 per week would be sufficient if your living inside the campus for food , laundry (Laundry houses are many around the campus at USD 0.75 per kilo for wash , dry and press ,as well as for transport around Calamba , incidentals and leisure. Food and transport is quite cheap in Philippines especially in Calamba , its a cozy , nice place for you to live and study . Smile , you are going to experience hospitable Filipino attitude and very attuned to foreigners interacting with Filipino values and culture,
