Why are the tires on my motorcycle wearing unevenly?

Answer:

Actually.your REAR tire usually wears out faster because its your drive tire. Just like a cars tires, the ones that are the drive tires always wear faster. My front tires typically last almost twice as long as the rear, but I change them as a set when I get new tires.
Make sure the wheel is balanced and that you haven't lost the lead weight that is attached to the rim to achieve this. Also the chain ajustment should be equal on both sides of the swingarm as the wheel could be out of alignment by even the smallest of degrees, which will affect Handling and Tyre wear. If you have a road bike try a Dual Compound tyre as it will wear longer in the middle while giving side grip still. The Michelin Road 2 is good for both Wear and Grip. hope that helps
If you are going to ride, put on a brake, without fail!! Roughly 3/4 of your stopping power is in the front, taking it off and then riding is irresponsible, if it was just you at risk I would say go for it, your choice but you are also endangering others. Dumb! Whenever I see a custom bike with no front brake or no front fender I think garage queen
Without a front brake, the bike will take longer to decellerate. You will need to start braking earlier than usual when coming to a red light or stop sign. The only advantages are the ones you listed, purely aestetic. The brake is there for a reason.
Improper tire pressure, not balanced properly, If the front tire, possible problems with your forks, steering head bearings. Your frame could be bent or your wheels improperly aligned. Wheel bearing preload or worn bearings. Front tires tend to cup as they wear - some bikes are more prone to that than others and heavy front braking will accelerate front tire cupping. Other Or a combinations of any or all of the above. Rear tires tend to wear out faster than fronts. The rear has to deal with both braking forces and acceleration forces and the rear generally carries more weight.
