Question:

Why can't I control the volume of my TV using the cable remote?

I replaced the traditional audio and video cables with an HDMI cable. The problem is that I can no longer control the volume using the cable remote, so I have to use the TV remote. Is there any way that I can control the volume using only the cable remote instead of having to use two remotes? If it helps, my TV is a Panasonic Viera and the cable box is a Motorola DCT3416. Thanks!

Answer:

you probably need to program your cable remote to your tv. the cable company usually give u a pamphlet of the codes and they usually program it for you but i would call them and see if u could get a code or get somebody out to your house
