Question:

Why do drummers put that plastic sheet in front of them when their like on stage?

well i was just at this weird consert and there was a plastics thingy so im just wondering

Answer:

Its to read the song list. Or it might be to read the sheet music to the songs as well. So they know where they play at in the songs, that's why. Good luck!
The percussion sound will deafen you...you'll notice that it is easier on the ears when the sound is behind barriers.
The lead singer is usually the cutest, and the drummer is ugly, so they have to hide him from the public Hehe I'm just kidding, I'd like to know why too
on stage the drums are extremely loud and they put the plastic screen in-front so they dont damage the band members hearing and audiences hearing (the drummers have to wear earphones that block out all noise so they dont harm thier hearing they can still hear the drums through it tho)
It acts as a sound barrier to prevent the drums from being picked up by the other instrument's mics. This is generally used when recording. Also, if the crowd starts throwing stuff at the band, it protects the drummer.
