I'm 17 years old and lately, ive been sleeping through ALL of my alarms. I set an actual alarm clock, and I also set my phone. Just look for a DOT or SNELL rating on the back. If it has a rating then it doesn't matter where you got it.
It has the required DOT rating which means it's manufacturer has tested it to DOT crash ratings. So, yes, it's as good a helmet as any other for protecting your skull in a crash. However, it's going to be lacking in fit and finish, comfort and venting. If it fits and you like it and you will wear it then it's a great helmet.
As long as it fits you properly (hopefully you know the differences) and doesn't come with someone's face in it like the pic. If you haven't tried on a few top quality helmets as a pro-shop I'll advise that you do so beforehand just so you know what they feel like. Since no helmet is a total safeguard it sorta comes down to comfort features and fit, things like flow-thrue venting, easy-snap visor control, looks, weight and so on. Looking at the photo and knowing the shape of the helmet I prefer I'll say I wouldn't like it, it's not as rounded in the frontal area as my Arai's but it may suit you just fine.
