Question:

Why do public school systems participate in off campus suspensions?

Most of these kids are being sent home to no supervision while parents are working, would it not be smarter to put them into a seperate group, such as in house suspensions, most schools offer this, and it keeps the children away from the other students, they still have adult supervison, and help with their school work if needed. Serious offenders are already expelled from school, if they seem to have produced a threat to other students or facilty. These kids are at a vital part of their life, why harm their grades? And why put them in a unsupervised situation, that is not punishment, to be home alone all day, sleeping in watching TV, doing whatever they want while parents are at work?

Answer:

I agree it makes no sense. A week at home unsupervised doing whatever they want is NOT a punishment to these kids, more like a reward for their bad behavior. Since kids that behave this way don't care about school, many see suspension as a good thing because they would rather not be at school anyway.
I suppose reverse to so much humans, there are genetics, due to the fact it's your INHERITED information no strategy to difference it. Changes motive many problems, besides. People are born unsightly and lovely. There are fundamental consepts and typical attention which is shaped by way of majority of the populace to spot and idealize cosmetic. If you do not have compatibility those requisites, sorry you're bodily unsightly. But it isn't a foul factor. I am additionally unsightly and I recognise why noone has under no circumstances fall for me. It is the legislation of the character and replica. Being unsightly method truthfully being much less in a position of reproducing. Love.
If the student is unsupervised during the suspension, the parents are legally responsible, not the schools. Part of the suspension consequences is the impact on the parents' lives. Parents can face fines (and in some states, jail time) for neglect if they leave a child unsupervised when suspended from school. Parents whining about how unfair this all is. guess who is finally responsible for the behavior (and education) of the child! Not the public schools! Public school is a service provided to the parent by the state to help the parent meet the educational requirements set by national and state standards. It is a free service filled with instructional experts who have trained for years to be able to provide a student with full access to their educational rights. However, it is also possible to send the child to a private school, or home-school. As long as the child is provided with his/her right to an academic education. Public schools are not mandatory. education is mandatory. Public schools are merely the default location for education if the parents do not choose to provide their child's education through private or home schooling. Public schools are not a babysitting service so the parents can work. If you don't want the inconvenience of dealing with a child on suspension, then have good, adequate discipline at home and high expectations for your child's school performance. If you are lost about how to do this, ask for a referral by your school social worker for parenting classes.
