Jimmie, Jimmie, Jimmie. You already are no longer allowed on golf carts by the insurance company and now you do something like that. You must only want to drive a CUP car and nothing else.by the time Rick and the insurance companies get thru with you that's all you'll be doing. Just an opinion as always.
If it does require them and you don't have one that won't necessarily get you out of the lease. You would have to send written notice to the landlord and give him the opportunity to remedy the lack of a smoke detector. THEN if he doesn't you would have cause to terminate your lease
