Question:

why does apartments always have problems in dry water flow sprinkler causing fire alarm go off?

i'm in a 15 year old apartment building that keeps getting problems causing fire alarms. most of them are valve pressure, dry water flow, sprinkler problems, and recently had a leak in the attic causing a wet spot in a tenant's apartment. There's always problems. mostly in the attic. does this mean it will catch fire someday a REAL fire?? Low water pressure, dry water valve and all kind of issues. Wonder if the apartment building will ever catch fire someday?

Answer:

They do, sometimes. However, the valve is located well below ground, to avoid the water freezing, so the crash would have to damage the underground valve, which is unlikely. .
Too many variables, are you using a deck gun, a 2 1/2, 1 3/4 what pressure is the pump at, smooth bore, task force tip, etc etc. I just have my guys adjust the stream till it hits the spot you want to hit.
