Question:

Why does my wall heater keep setting off my smoke alarm?

Have a wall heater unit with a smoke alarm not directly above but off to the right about 7 feet.

Answer:

Probably but let me tell you a story about this. 6 years ago, when my daughter was 13, she lost 4 very good friends to this. They went to jump a bump on a bridge. The car DID go airborne for a few seconds and then out of control and into a tree. The car exploded. All 4 perished. The firemen were on scene within 3 minutes.. .but could not save them. They were 13, 16, 18 and 20 years old. We all lived with the aftermath of that 3 second thrill. My daughter will never, ever be the same. Please, if you're thinking of doing this DON'T. If you know someone who wants to. please try to stop them. This was the most tragic event in our community in a long, long time. Trust me when I say few things are harder than waking your 13 year old daughter and 14 year old son up at 5 am to inform them that someone they loved dearly and had planned on being with in that car that night was now dead and gone. Survivors guilt is horrible. I really cannot express here how devastating this was/is.
Hi Scott ~ Well, welcome to my world, you got your first cavities. Hopefully, they will be your last. You brush twice a day AND floss everyday, right? RIGHT? Ok - it sounds like you heard the dentist say 3 surface resin posterior fillings, meaning: 3 surfaces are involved - could all be on 1 tooth, or 2 or 3 different teeth posterior - they are back teeth resin - the dentist is planning to use the white (tooth-colored) fillings that do not contain mercury. The fillings that contain mercury are called amalgam fillings. Anesthesia - ? Personally, I would never get a filling without a local anesthetic. But a some people do. You feel a pinch for a minute, then you get numb, and don't feel any drilling pain, just the vibrations. You stay numb for a few hours - longer on the bottom than on the top. You could always ask if you can try it without novocaine, and if you change your mind because of discomfort, the dentist can numb you up. You'll be fine. Make these your last cavities! : )
scrape it out and dry it a bit in the micro' first.
