Question:

Why dont my windshield wipers work on my 1994 Chevrolet C1500?

My wipers quit working all of a sudden.

Answer:

The wiper motors have a circuit board installed, and that may be your problem like I had with my 98 Chevy. It should be located up against the firewall on the driver's side. Unscrew the cover and just remove the circuit board. It cost me $21.00 for a new one and that fixed the problem. Heat is the big enemy of electronic circuits, as it is with a car battery. In reality, putting a car battery under the hood is the worst place to have one.
Get another estimate by an independent shop. Don't go to any chain type auto repair places or dealers.
You can always buy the parts yourself and then bring it to a mechanic if you think their over charging for parts.
might have blown a fuse, windshield wiper engine died, wires got cut, or i might have flew through your windshield too! LOL
Did you ever have your truck fixed under the recall campaign for the windshield wipers? I know there was a recall for GM trucks from 1994-1997 for defective wiper motors or something along those lines. Though, I believe that the recall period ended quite a while ago, so you may just have to have the motor replaced. I have a wiper motor problem on my 1994 Suburban, except in my case, the wipers don't stop once I turn them on. I have to turn the vehicle off otherwise they continue to run.
